HIPPO The Contest 2026

Overview

Hippo English Without Borders – the Contest is an international event that promotes the English language, challenges students worldwide to test their knowledge. The Contest fosters a shared sense of identity and integration, serving as a model of how young people can live and grow together as one global community. Its main goal is to build and nurture friendship, mutual understanding, and a spirit of healthy competition among young learners of English from all around the world. In addition, by taking part in this unique challenge, students have the opportunity to measure their English proficiency against international standards and become familiar with the concept of examination.

CEFR

Aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the Hippo examinations use Ofqual-regulated English qualifications and evaluates all five key areas of English proficiency — Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, and Use of English (Grammar & Vocabulary).

Registration

Before registration, participants are required to complete the payment by transferring the registration fee to the following account:
BCA – Bank Central Asia 4977224488 – (ABAK CENDEKIA YAY)
The payment receipt must be uploaded at the end of the registration form.
Registration fee: IDR 300,000/participant/level
Participants must complete the online registration through the link provided
Fill in all personal information accurately in the registration form.
After completing the registration, participants must join the official WhatsApp group for further announcements and updates.

Participant Requirements and Criteria

Participants must be active students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 (or equivalent levels in primary to senior high school) in the current academic year.
All categories are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The registration fee is IDR 250,000 per student, which covers the participation cost and an e-certificate.
Age limit: Up to 19 years old, or As long as students are still enrolled in high school
Students may compete above their grade level if they feel prepared.
